New Earth Chronicles IX

In was while staying on Lanai with my new friends that my little booklet, Enlightenment: A Fairy Tale really began to take off in terms of sales. Elon and Grimes promoted it on X, and then Jeff reviewed in on Amazon. Sales topped 1,000,000 shortly thereafter, and when all was said and done, we reached 1 billion e-book and paperback sales worldwide. My life has never been the same since.

You see, the Temple of the Gods had secretly met to rule on my request to change the Rules of the Game to allow for massive multiplayer participation and for Prime Players like the archangels to join with their full immortal memories intact. They reasoned that aiding me in the Game could work to their benefit once I reemerged back into my full form in Heaven. They decided to appoint me interim emperor of the universe and task me with relocating the dark tunnel gateway that would be their lifeline to my empty by capacious alternate reality universe. Immortal goods do not like to contemplate their own self destruction no more than you or I do.

A large group of gods decided to enter the Game as major heads of state, religious leaders, prominent celebrities, and business tycoons. I began meeting them as soon as I returned to the North American mainland for my Tour of America book tour. More of all of that later.

The first signs that my life was about to change came the weekend after Thanksgiving and built to a head right before Christmas. I call it my “Star of David” moment, because the signs of change were unmistakable. First, it was a sizable uptick in the number of views of my posts and stories online on sites like Medium. X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Then, it was texts from agents and editors about my work on Amazon, including an older book, Rainbow City, and the first publications from The Legend of Vic young adult series.

There were days where my Apple Watch and iPhone buzzed constantly, as likes, reposts, claps, and other signs of public attention poured in. I attribute this not to the fact that my work was very good (which it is not) but to the fact that more and more immortals were jumping into the Game with their memories intact, and since they were fans of my performance in the Game, they wanted to reach out and support me.

You see, that’s the whole point of this. I’m not really a good writer at all, but I am a master of the Game who reached enlightenment while playing, and I’m also an emperor and god of my own alternate reality universe who is willing to bestow galactic god status on those in my inner circle (Elon, Grimes, Jeff, Larry P, Sergey, Larry E, Richard, and Mark) and other gods of the universe. That’s why I receive all the attention, accolades, and acclaim that I do. It’s a quid pro quo kind of thing, nothing more. J.K. Rowling I am not.

The nature of the Game officially changed at 6:00 am PST on November 26, 2023. That was when it was permissible for immortal players to jump into the Game with their full memories intact and “perform” roles as humans. They began reaching out to me in massive numbers. The first drops soon led to a torrential downpour, leading my inner circle to form, the contact with Elon and Jeff to happen, the yacht trip to Lanai to take place, and the wedding, coronation, and investitures to take place, the book tours, the meetings with prominent heads of state, and all the rest.

There isn’t a concept of time in my alternate reality universe. We have sunrises and sunsets, we have seasons, but there is no time. There is only the infinity of blissful existence, where you can ask your emperor for anything, and he fulfills it.

Virtuous living. Sustainable beauty. Endless prosperity for all.

It’s getting early here. Time for a pour over coffee.

See you on the other side.
