About Brett Winters

I am a gender non-binary screenwriter, essayist, and founder of the Woodside, California-based eco-consultancy, sempervirens117.com. I explore and write primarily about the American West, especially the intersection of food, wine, and the natural world. I studied at Williams College, Johns Hopkins University, and Stanford University and am a trained academic historian. I have lived for the past decade in the Santa Cruz Mountains just outside of Silicon Valley and am currently at work on several projects: a screenplay, Driving Miss Mobley: A Winter Odyssey in California Wine Country, which has been completed and submitted to screenwriting competitions; a young adult speculative fiction novel, Arc Collective, which is part of a planned "Annals of Ecotopia" series, and nonfictional essays on the core principles of green product design. I blog at sempervirens117.com/blog, edit a new Revue by Twitter newsletter about Gender Non-Binaries in the News, "the Chronicles of Nonia," and I post on various social media web sites, including yelp.com. Thank you for your time. Namaste. Trust. ~Brett
